Solid walnut or acacia in two widths, twenty dollars, with a velvet bag. Wood is the cheap end of the wrist rest market and it behaves like wood: no padding, no give, and CannonKeys warns of visible grain variation and minor surface blemishes. It works if you rest your palms rather than press on them. If you want something soft, a gel or silicone rest costs about the same and will suit you better.
