Sources, spec sheets and hardware all make the index better. Here is what we can act on and what happens next.
What we can act on
- A better source for a specification. Every figure here is traceable, and a manufacturer's own sheet beats a retailer's listing. Send one and the entry is updated against it, with its "last checked" date moved so readers can see it was reviewed.
- Add or update a listing. If you make or sell keyboards, switches, keycaps or accessories, send the product's own spec sheet and we will consider it for the index.
- Hardware for verification. See below. We do take it, and it is the only way a figure gets confirmed first-hand rather than from a listing.
- Image permissions. Product images here are used editorially and no brand's terms have been individually checked. If you own the images and want that formalised, in either direction, this is the fastest way.
Sending hardware
Yes, we accept hardware, and it is genuinely useful to us. Almost everything in this index comes from published specifications cross-checked between retailers. A unit in hand is better than that: it settles a figure the sources disagree on, and it is the only way a specification gets confirmed first-hand rather than repeated.
What that means in practice, so there are no surprises on either side:
- It buys a verified entry, not a favourable one. Whatever the hardware shows is what the entry says, including where it contradicts the spec sheet that came with it.
- It buys no placement. Nothing here is ranked, promoted or ordered by who sent what. Listings are sorted by brand and by figures.
- It is disclosed. An entry verified from a supplied unit says so on the page, the same way a paid link says so.
- We do not publish scored reviews. There is no test rig here and no measured force curves, so we will not pretend to numbers we did not take. What you get is a specification confirmed by hand and an honest description.
