Durock
Durock is a brand of the manufacturer usually called JWK, and it is best known not for switches but for stabilizers: screw-in Durock stabilizers have been the default recommendation for years, to the point that many custom kits ship with them.

What to know
- Makes

- Known for
- Screw-in stabilizers that need less tuning than most, and smooth linear switches with a characteristic higher-pitched housing.
- Worth knowing
- The Durock, JWK and Jwick names overlap confusingly across the same factory's output, and the same switch can appear under more than one of them at different prices.
- Who it suits
- Anyone buying stabilizers, which is anyone building a board.
- Availability
- Widely stocked
- Relationships
- Durock and Jwick are both names associated with JWK's output, which is why the same product appears under several labels.

Plate mount
Plate mount, which clips into the plate instead of the PCB: no screws, no need for a drilled board, and a small amount of movement in the clips that no amount of grease will remove. Nylon housings on stainless steel wire, four 2u plus a 6.25u and a 7u, and Mechboards states plainly that they are not pre-lubed. KeebsForAll notes the stems have flat bottoms, so the clip mod that most stabilizers need is already done. No price is recorded because the two shops quote in different currencies and neither figure is a whole number of dollars.

Durock
PCB screw-in≈ $21
Screw-in, which is the most secure of the three fittings and the quietest once tuned, in a PA nylon housing on gold-plated wire. The kit is four 2u plus one long stabilizer, and the 6.25u and 7u are separate variants rather than both being in the box, so check your spacebar width before ordering. Nothing in the listing says they arrive lubed, so treat the wire ends as your job. Only one of the six shops carries this version, so there is no second set of figures to check these against.
